I am pleased to be able to share our current strategy document so members and other interested parties can learn more about our purpose and identity, and how these translate into past activities and future plans.

ACP-UK is a not-for-profit company which is owned and run by its members to promote, publicise, support and develop the work of clinical psychologists, with the overarching aim of improving the health and social care of the population of the UK. In the following document its four main strategy areas, which focus on Membership, Professional and Public Presence, Developing the Profession and Organisational Governance, are defined and operationalised in terms of recent achievements and ongoing work.

We are a values-driven organization and seek to retain a clarity of purpose and to be bold, ethical and responsive in the way we work. Please do read this strategy document alongside our Vision, Mission and Values statements on our website, and let us know if we are going off track.

We are a small but growing organization, and I think you will see how active we have been. We do need to set priorities, so that we retain a sense of purpose, work effectively and see tasks through to completion. I hope you will broadly agree with where we have chosen to focus our efforts and let us know your thoughts about what we should concentrate on as we go forwards.
