Introducing Sarah Swan, Director for England

  • July, 2019

I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and have worked in the field of mental health and addictions for over 20 years.  I work part-time as Head of Psychology & Psychotherapy in South London and The Maudsley Trust and part-time independently, providing psychological therapy, training and consultancy.  Therefore, I have a broad range of experiences in delivering, leading and developing psychological interventions, teams and services in the NHS and in the private sector.
I joined ACP-UK in the early stages as I feel passionately about our profession developing a more influential voice in the world of health and wellbeing, as well as more broadly in our communities.  I feel incredibly proud of our profession and the people that work within it and wish to ensure that it can thrive despite the current economic pressures and other challenges we face.  I am delighted to join the Board as Director for England in order to play my part in the development of the profession and the values we stand for.
