Guidance for Clinical Psychologists Who Act as Expert Witnesses in the Family Courts During Covid-19

  • May, 2020

Crucial Family Court proceedings concerning child custody and child protection continue despite the pandemic and limitations on face-to-face contact. Clinical Psychologists continue to be required to assess, formulate and give advice to the Court.

Dr Jaime Craig, Dr Helen Rodwell and Dr Miriam Silver have prepared and written guidance on behalf of ACP-UK for Clinical Psychologists providing expert opinion for the Courts during the present pandemic. Although the guidance has been written with the Family Court in mind, much of it is also applicable to general legal expert witness practice.
