Compassion and Self-care for Staff who are Parents and Carers

  • Friday 16th July 2021
    10am-12pm

  • Online Webinar

Presented by Dr Mary Welford, Consultant Clinical Psychologist

At all times during our careers, but especially during the pandemic, we have been encouraged to take care of ourselves, to make time for self-care and to participate in wellbeing activities. We all know what we should be doing. But for many staff in NHS and social care roles it isn’t always that easy. When our time is taken up with work and our children or other home-caring responsibilities it can feel as if there is little time left over. In such situations well intentioned messages about self-care can be frustrating or turn into another stick to beat ourselves with.

This interactive, experiential webinar is being delivered by Dr Mary Welford, of Compassion in Mind. Mary is a founding member of the Compassionate Mind foundation, the author of a number of books including ‘CFT for Dummies’, and ‘The Kindness Workbook’.  The workshop aims to be intuitive and use a CFT approach to enable participants to make time for their own wellbeing in the context of busy work and home lives.

The webinar is aimed at both Clinical Psychologists and other health and care staff. We hope that those who attend will find it useful for themselves and as a resource to use with colleagues.

The webinar will take place on:

Friday 16th July 2021 at 10am-12pm

The webinar is available for free for ACP-UK members. Non-members can purchase a ticket for the event for £30 through our WebCollect online booking system using the link below.
