  • Online Webinar Series

This series of webinar comes alongside the re-launch of the children, young people and families network of the ACP. We felt that we needed to start where we are, and therefore planned a series of webinars thinking about how CYPF have been and continue to be impacted by the pandemic. This was a conversation that we didn’t feel was happening enough at national level.

The webinars that we have produced go way beyond the pandemic to think about how children, young people and families are held in mind and how Clinical Psychologists can respond to the ever-evolving needs of these populations. Our webinars prioritise the voices of children and of people who have used servicers and each webinar brings this experience to the presentations and panel discussions. We take a systemic view, seeing the child at the centre of concentric circles of impact and influence from their family right up to national policy. We also encourage and challenge Clinical Psychologists to think about their role to engender change beyond the therapy room. In all cases we link theory, practice and experience and have both discussion and practice ideas.

These webinars represent just the start of the work the CYPF network wants to do, prioritising voices which need to be heard and thinking about the influence that Clinical Psychologists can have at every level, with individual children and families in the therapy rooms, moving to a service, trust and community level.
