Under-representation and Career Progression in the Profession of Clinical Psychology

  • Online Webinar

Webinar Details

Career progression is a significant challenge in clinical psychology and mental health services given ethnic inequality, social inequality and discrimination in the UK. Recognising under-representation in the trajectory of education and employee recruitment matters, because such barriers curtail the social mobility and future social influence of disadvantaged and marginalised groups. This perpetuates the influence of socially dominant groups, and continues to prohibit meaningful change in the profession.  This webinar will explore some of the challenges facing aspiring, trainee and qualified clinical psychologists through their career trajectory. The webinar will help attendees to connect to these challenges, taking an individual and structural perspective.
