Dear Colleagues/ fellow practitioners working in staff support,

We want to reach out to acknowledge the difficult and challenging times so many of you/us find yourselves in at present. We know there has been significant uncertainty around funding whether that is the result of changes with the hubs, charity funding coming to an end or the impact of wider cuts.  We have been particularly concerned to hear examples of misleading and ambiguous communication, leading to unnecessary additional distress for those involved. We would like to show our solidarity with those who have been affected by the huge uncertainty in recent weeks and months, and particularly with those impacted by loss of funding.

We would like to assure you that efforts are being made jointly by the ACP-UK and the BPS at the highest level to raise awareness of the situation.  We are keen to empower people to share their stories if they wish to do so and make your voices heard. Please look out on the ACP-UK website/ list serve for further information in due course.

We also would like to remind everyone of the sources of support available within the ACP-UK staff support network (e.g., regular peer support meetings for practitioners working in staff support, and the JISC mail), as well as the subsidised ACP-UK member support scheme. Please do not hesitate to reach out.

With warmest wishes,

The ACP-UK Staff Health & Wellbeing Network Advisory Group
