While clinicians working with older adults have always been aware of the importance of historical knowledge, it is notable that there can be a lack of focus on the specific historical experiences of clients from minoritised ethnicities.

In this webinar Alasdair Churchard explores the nature of this lack of historical knowledge, its potential effects on clinical work, and suggests some steps clinicians can take to improve their knowledge in this area. It draws specifically on knowledge derived from working with older adults from minoritised ethnicities, but is also relevant to clinicians working with all age groups and all ethnicities.

Please note that this webinar does include reference to traumatic historical events which may have personal resonances for attendees.
